The
sailing scene will remember Ettore Santarelli as a passionated and talented
designer and boatbuilder who has always been very close to all sailors,
following most events and giving advices with the greatest enthusiasm.
Sobriety and rigour are certainly contributing to the enormous success
of all Santarelli's 'one design' boats such as Strale (dinghy), Asso 99,
Joker, Dolphin 81 and larger Modulo. All of them proved to have in common
that magic feeling of stability leading the crew to some unforgetable
surf, altough sailing on fresh water. This being the designer's expression
of the typical sailing conditions met on lake Garda.
